I'm Idhaya A T, a Dutch language instructor with a strong foundation in healthcare and education, both in India and the Netherlands. My experience spans working with a wide spectrum of learners from drivers and engineers to IT professionals, warehouse staff, postgraduate students, biomedical technicians, homemakers, and children each with unique goals and aspirations.
I started my career as a trained Operating Room Nurse with hands-on experience in surgical care. Between 2011 and 2014, I served as an operating room assistant at St. Antonius Hospital in the Netherlands, where I was actively involved in perioperative procedures and patient support within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
During this period, I enrolled in a Dutch language course and gradually began conversing in Dutch with my colleagues ranging from surgeons and nurses to anaesthesiologists. These interactions not only strengthened my language skills but also added immense value to both my professional growth and personal experiences. I realised how important it is to communicate with the regional language with the natives which enhanced my socialization with people confidently and it remains as the most cherished moments of my career.
After returning to India, I felt inspired to share my knowledge of the Dutch language with others. Teaching Dutch has become a true passion, and I am committed to making the learning process engaging, approachable, and enjoyable for every student. I incorporate tips and techniques that support easy recall and build confidence in language use.
“Hallo Dutch” was founded with a mission to make the Dutch language accessible across the globe, empowering individuals both professionally and socially.
Learning Dutch can be more approachable than you might imagine—especially with clear guidance and supportive instruction.
